Hey Philly kids, how impossible would this race be for out-of-towners? A couple of us are thinking about coming up for it--ideas?

[quote=dailey_philly] I give out maps to folks with manifest. you have to route yourself. philly is just one big grid really. [QUOTE]
Stellar!
We were trying to figure out if A) there would be maps and B) if the locations would be really obscure, but it seems like it won't be.
Assuming I can get the car, we're totally coming. Anyone got floor space?

some folks did that way. other folks just tried to get the first place out of town. this year I am hoping to have two bags for first place out of town from freight baggage. I just have to talk to travis when I go to san fran next week for the naccc..

I'm glad to hear about the maps. does everyone do every checkpoint in the same order or is it the luck of the draw?
I won one of Travis's pre-Freight bags in a race a few years ago. It'd be great to try for a new one (though the old one is going strong after three years of daily use).

the team has a hour or so to map out their stragety. you don't have to do all the checkpoints in order.

who puts on this race? is there any info from previous year's races? i'd kinda like to know what i'm getting into since i don't know what i expected for the r.e.load race, but what i got was an overwhelming clusterf*ck that took an hour of sitting down and planning out. but i did have fun, and that's what counts.

Dailey puts it on. What sort of info are you after? You're getting into a superfun race and party that is much more concrete than the (also superfun) april fools race. Come on down! You'll love it!

what the set up of the race is, how far is the sprinter going (from the art museum to where), is the runner just delivering packages (real packages?) all over philly, is it a points race or a regular manifest race, about how long was last years, pictures, videos, etc ?

Not a particularly long race, I am pretty sure that the winners took about an hour and a half last year (?). I know nothing of pics or videos.
so yeah have fun....big bbq afterwards... with tons of beer.. and red bull!!!!
