Jumpinships 2007 - Columbus, OH
Jumpinships is definitely happening this year, dammit! July 7th, 2007! It's going to start around 3pm -- starting location TBA. I am getting more sponsors and will be adding them to the flier and website as they come in. I just wanted to get the date out there so that people can plan for it!

I really encourage out-of-towners to hit this up. It's always totally rad. If you need a place to stay, I might be able to help you out.
check out the website at https://www.jumpinships.com

I'll start getting plans made with some peeps down here. About 8 of us went to the one in Cincy this past weekend. So we should be able to get a crew together for this too.

the race is 3 weeks away now and i've got a ****ton of prizes sitting under my bed. If you are planning to come out from a far away land, let me know and i'll see what can be arranged in terms of lodging, etc. the out of town racer prizes are going to be solid gold.
chicago kids should hit up chifg -- i think that some dudes are going to come down via megabus and there might be another car pool.
I figure that anyone in the midwest or nearish east shouldn't get slaughtered too hard on gasoline if they ride a few people deep.
holla
Oh! I almost forgot -- Dan of Seagull bags is opening up his store this same weekend. It's looking like there's going to be either a party on the 6th or, more likely, a kegs and eggs jam on the morning of the race. Wake up, go to the store, eat some ****, drink a couple of brews, and go race!

I'll be up from Cinci. I think the plan is to go up Sat. morning and be back that night. I'm not driving, so I'll be able to partake in the post-race fun.
*Edit: Oh...and I'm looking forward to the lack of hills there.

I got that day off work, so i'll be coming up with a crew from Louisville on sat. doesn't look like I'll be able to race with the hand injury. I'll be down to hang out for sure though, and do some easy riding around.

**** yeah, dudes. serve it up, guys.
because the out-of-town contingents are going to be pretty large this year, we'll almost certainly be having more than just "first" for the out of town prizes.

worst case scenario is that you don't race but end up rip-roaring drunk. you're welcome to help work a stop if you'd like.

If I'm unable to race I'll help out however i can. I'm going to try to shape the palm of my cast to fit my bars tonight, probably won't work well enough to race, but I'm goin to try to make it work.
