D. U. M. B. O. 2! N Y C!
Hey everybody, it's time once again for this very special race! July 21st! NYC!
Some of you may remember the original D.U.M.B.O scramble from last year.
People came from all over and threw down over cobblestones, alleys and bridges in one of NYC's oldest-looking hoods. It was a lot of fun.
This year, the Brooklyn-based alleycat is back with a lil somethin' extra!
For one, it's a two-person team race.
For two, you're gonna be expected to be quick as well as durable...

UPDATE MASSIVE!
A COUPLE OF IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THIS RACE.
As is now known, last year's race focused on the individual's struggle to overcome the terrain and outride the competition.
This year you and your teammate will have the opportunity to divide and conquer! So keep in mind these two pointers:
1. stay in contact. you may not be with your partner the entire time! Bring your cellphones or radios and communicate. You may find success quicker this way - or it may slow you down!
2. teamwork. even though you will be racing parts of the course alone, you are still on a team and can be expected to perform as such. you may be able to help your partner out during the course of the race.
...anyways, I'm just putting that out there now so you have a slight idea of what to expect on race day.

3 days to go people, and the second official D.U.M.B.O Scramble will be in full effect.
prize booty contributors so far: citybikes, trackstarNYC, king kog, seagull bags, FiFocycle, crumpler, surly, kryptonite, bicycle station and brooklyn machine works.
soothing after-race refreshment provided by crumpler!
course checkpoints online at: https://www.nowhereontheinternet.org!!!!! you're just going to have to figure this one out on the fly.
remember to: bring a phone or radio if you like, and it may come in handy.
but most definitely bring a pen! you're gonna need it.
come on out and do this race! don't be afraid of brooklyn - it will be lots of fun.
there's plenty of goodies to go around. everyone should have a good time.
