Can't wait, will be there!
Can I grab some floor space for that night though? I'll be catching a ride from Gainesville at some point that weekend over to Tally...I guess I need a ride back to Gainesville too...anyone?
Yay for Florida races!

by the way, if you live in florida and you don't come to this race, you will be missing out.

Srsly.
I raced last year...in the rain...on those hills. I couldn't walk for a few days afterwards, but I was smiling.

Unheard of? I remember staying in a bad ass camper trailer in St. Pete. And I had a couch last time I was in Tally (Fools Errand still one of my top 3 races and my first tattoo). Those FL kids have it going on for sleep-overs.
I'd demand nothing less than a queen size bed with 500 thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets.
...wish i could be there, I'd even sleep on a back porch with the mosquitos and 200 thread-count sheets.

If Lynn hasn't already shipped the Transit schwag, then I'll bring it down.
Do I still have a couch offer?
Btw, I'm still trying to find a ride from Gainesville to Tally if anyone's driving!

thanks everybody for coming out! thanks especially to racers from gainesville, st. augustine, tampa, orlando, and atlanta!
winners were austin, jackie, and eric from st augustine (first overall, first female, and first out-of-town).
race lowlights - crashes, flat tires (a whole bunch of them), and people getting super lost.
checkpoint highlights - helping the mermaid of the lake, baby pirates with baby bikes, monster charming, climbing with a giant spider, and the crazy checkpoint that involved divebombing some creature on a zipline (although i didn't quite get the back story on that one).
fun party afterwards. lots of people are probably sore and sleeping in today.

to the people that didn't go, you all missed out. top four awards were f*c*ing SWORDS, and serious, sharp, bad-ass swords, too. like highlander, but with bicycles. the checkpoints were seriously awesome. far and away, over the top, best checkpoints ever. at least, the ones i found were.
