OK, I actually have no idea what's going on. But let's organize it here. Or rather, here:

https://crankmi.fopim.com/leap-day-2008-race-t11.html

Just want to get some publicity out there.

Race starts at the Vietnam Memorial, behind the Capitol Building. Very easy to find, just go straight down Michigan Ave and around the loop and straight back from the Capitol. Should be a number of blinkies to let you know when you're close. More details pending the creation of a flyer, It'll be posted in the crank forum and here as well.

For those of us who want to go to both but can't, why don't we ALL go to this one, right smack dab in the middle of Detroit and Lansing:

This is gonna be a very happening February. I like it.

Well, being in AA allows me to not go anywhere besides AA.

I mean, you could ride from EL to, say, here. It's been done.

Yeah, that's one of the downsides to freshman year but now I've got my van stashed over in the commuter lot for when I wanna go out of town. I'd keep it at my house but I'm the illegal 4th roomie in a 3 person lease so there's no room in the driveway. Though when I was dating a girl over at U of M my freshman year I took the greyhound bus over there to see her once. Not sure what their policy on bikes is.

A friend of mine has done it. You just take Grand River Ave until you get to Howell then go straight south on this road, can't remember what it's called but it takes you all the way to AA. I'm gonna do this from time to time once the weather improves.

he's from st. louis, and AEA/SAG rules kind of prevent me from publicizing anything about him if I want him to actually show up, so I won't say whether or not he's making any sort of official appearance here...

BUT

We are currently batting 1.000 as far as getting people who make many zeroes more than us a year to come to our races...

We're going to meet at 9:30, start at around 10. $3 buy in. Prizes from local businesses (hopefully).
- Andrew

Check the forum in my sig from time to time for more info as the race date approaches.

EDIT: to be clear this is for the EL race, not the Detroit one.
