There were no CR-18's left at Damco, so unless Babac has something (I'm at home right now so I don't have the catalog handy) then you might have to wait a bit or substitute. Norco doesn't have any 27s unless you want the X404 (basic, single wall)

For the hub Dave: Silver or black? Fixed/fixed or fixed/free or whichever one is available?

Are you going to need spokes too Keith? I don't know if we have the ones you need, but I'm pretty sure I have the measurements for CR18 and the forumula hub in my notebook at the shop.

Yeah...I got the ones with built in bar-ends. They are a bit pricey but well worth it IMHO.

I just realized that my winter SS with a chain and fenders is only about 18lbs so yeah, I guess a $4000 12lb belt-drive Trek carbon SS bike is not all that essential

I'd prefer fixed/free making it a little easier for me. Silver please. I'm happy to wait for a better rim if that's what you and Keith suggest.

9:20 am - watch the last portion of the world championship - with no commentary. it's a little strange...

https://www.atdhe.net/8327/watch-uci-...pionships-2009

Clicking on the last page of the live cycling news feed at least allows you to know who is where. It's hard with country jerseys, not team..

too late now that the race is over, but if you ever have issues with commentary eurosport is the place to go

i just had my video feed muted and used eurosport for commentary, worked out well

Long shot--------> does anyone have an Ambrosio Balance silver 32h rim that they don't need anymore? I have a Miche Primato front track wheel and would like to build up a matching rear. Tanx

Hey, is it normal for Chris King front hubs to develop a little play? My front cross classic has, and it seems like all I need to do is tighten down the end-caps, but a special tool is required.

Anyone going to Word on the Street today?

With Queen Pita and Sushi Marche, you're shwarma and sushi needs are also met. I really miss that neighbourhood.

It should be just 2x 5mm allen keys to tighten that. Don't overtighten either.

You are both partly right; there is a special King tool for bearing adjustment collar, but the allen end caps must be loose to adjust it. Once the allen ends are cracked loose (often takes a lot of torque, use fresh/not cheap keys) the collar is usually loose enough to turn with your fingers. You could probably use a pin spanner if necessary, but I wouldn't say you NEED the King tool.

So a friend of mine had some surgery and lost all ability to move his leg below the knee. The physio place suggested that he ride a stationary bike to get exercise and increase movement. I lent him my trainer, which I'm more than happy to do. That said, I'd like to be able to ride indoors all winter. Does anyone have a cheap trainer I can buy off them? Otherwise I'll look on CL, but I figured I'd ask here first.

I won't be coming in the morning, so not to worry! Depending on the weather I may stop by tomorrow, otherwise the day after.

Huh, you can quote yourself! It won't be today because of the 'rain' and me wimping out and not wanting to get wet. Is tomorrow cool? Otherwise I can call and give you my cc number.

If your basement floods because the outside pipe has been crushed by old growth tree roots, you're looking at about three grand in repairs. I've been humping shop vacs of water up the stairs since Sunday.

Can't get a set of Open Pros in... and other suggestions for 36H/machine sidewall rims for the SS? Having them build onto the IRO hubs I got last year. CXP33's hmm?
