Advice on getting a race going?
Fellas! I want to get a race going here in Northampton, MA, where I live. I was thinking Alleycat. Any advice on how to get one started?

I had a really good turnout at mine simply by putting flyers up in bike shops and creating an event page on FB. Best thing is just to do the damn thing and learn from your mistakes

+1 on flyers and facebook, throw in instagram as well.
And if you can get up on one of the more popular sites you'll get a pretty big draw. Some guys in Jacksonville got their flyer up on Prolly's site and had 74 people show up, compared to like 30 the year before.
Also, have awesome prizes or a large purse and lots of people will show.
