Street Hustle Alleycat | Chicago | 8.4.2013
This is a short, fun north side alleycat for riders of all styles and abilities! Only five checkpoints, each one a test of your street smarts and game-playing skillz. Dice, dominoes, cards - see if you can hold your own against our badass and oh-so-tricksy checkpoint mavens.
Start at Heritage Cycles (2959 N Lincoln). Registration at 1, Race at 2. First 25 racers get a free super slick Street Hustle t-shirt printed by our awesome sponsor, Retrogresssion. Bring $5 and money for a six pack. Backyard barbecue and kiddie pool of beer await you at the final checkpoint; entry to the afterparty is ONE SIX PACK.
The afterparty at 4:30 pm will be a wonderland of free food (with accommodations for everyone from the vegan to the meat-loving) and beer swimming in ice. If you're doing the race, buying a six pack will be part of the manifest.
If you just want to hang out and grill, join the Facebook event and we'll message you the address the day of the race. You're still expected to bring a six pack, so don't cheap out.
Also, when we say six pack we're not saying you have to drink alcohol. If you're a non drinker, you bring black cherry soda, seltzer, or ginger beer. But we're not letting you in the backyard without dranks.
Bring your own whiskey to the afterparty, and quarters if you want to throw down in the Unofficial Afterparty Dice Championship.
The top three racers will receive a treasure trove of quarters to use in the post-race dice throw down. Roll some bones and get down until the sun goes down.
