State time and place. I will be there. I must break in my new bike (no pun).

Shiznaz 05-11-05 05:17 PM

Same place and time as before? Wheat Sheaf at king and bathurst at 1:45pm?

damn... don't even joke about that. :D

operator 05-11-05 06:09 PM

Hehe. Is Wheat Sheaf right on the corner of said intersection (which one?).

Bikeophile 05-11-05 06:13 PM

its right at the corner of King and Bathurst.

I'd love to join you guys...but I am likely going to be asleep...working midnights on my day job this week...but if by chance you see a guy on a sweet blue track bike...that will be me :)

operator 05-11-05 10:50 PM

Incantation: You will join us, you will join us!

henesse 05-11-05 11:20 PM

no one wants to ride in the weekend?
matt and i were thinking of getting some of guys from here for a ride.
we could even go up north if you guys would like to.

Bikeophile 05-12-05 06:09 AM

the TBN ride is on Saturday (I was thinking of popping by for a little spin). Its only 35km but since Saturday is supposed to be cold and rainy, 35km might be just enough.

operator 05-12-05 06:47 AM

Hope to hell Saturday isn't like that, it'll make my evening job that much harder. And if it really is going to be cold/rainy, i'm probably not going to show up. It's 38km from my house to the start point.

On the contrary can't wait to go riding today.

gokiburi 05-12-05 11:32 AM

bikeophile, are you forwarding some of the ebay/craigslist postings to keith? i know keith's picky about his sizing but there has been some nice postings lately. like this 58cm rossin.

gokiburi 05-12-05 05:51 PM

shiznaz and operator, thanks for meeting up! it was a nice break. all that whopper-talk from shiznaz got me hungry for some grease.. so it was a $3.99 double cheeseburger combo for me at mickey-dees. i'm regretting it.
bikeophile posted info about the toronto "ride for silence" on may 18. check it out.

operator 05-12-05 05:55 PM

Rofl, nice meeting you gokiburi. Hope your full now! On the other hand, I bonked on my way back (very light breakfast, drink for lunch). Last 8km was HELL. I couldn't even maintain 16kph, on top of that there was a headwind. I knew I should've picked up something to eat at chinatown.

Thanks for the 3m adhesive stickies shiznaz, have fun in France.

No I haven't been sending any postings to Keith, in fact I haven't been even looking at them myself. The frames that Keith and I are building right now includes a frame for Keith that is modelled exactly after his old 59cm Rossin Track frame which apparently is the best fitting frame he's owned.

That 58cm looks nice, but likely small for Keith, since he rides a 59cm Rossin normally. That is nice though.

Guys...was thinking of a little ride/eat tomorrow afternoon...Some BBQ pork buns in China town perhaps? If anyone is interested....130pm in front of the wheat sheaf...seems like that's your normal meet up!

Hey, I'm new to this site, was told about it by operator. I might be showing up. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad. If it's raining around 1:00pm I won't be leaving the house!
