So, how does one actually 'sneek' into the Ride For Heart bike run? Just show up at start line?

Shiftless bum
They actually have a scammers starting gate for those who'd rather take advantage of all the volunteers and other folks who are donating their time and money and working for this charity rather than pay the entry fee.

maybe just ride in the center of the big main group going through the start gates and they won't notice you.

I had a change of heart about the mustach bars , my Dad and I were looking at the 1959 Raliegh and those bars would be killer looking and give it a super old school look so I am going to put them on the Raliegh and I am going to put the Pinarello bars on the new 6 inch stem instead

Ride for heart was sweeeeet,
I was with the lead group the whole time riding with the Cycle Solutions team and we had a police escort to get all the slow people out of the way
Average speed of 38 km/h, and it only took 2 hours to do the 75 km ride

I saw your peleton blow buy a couple of times, fun times. It's a bit more of a slog as you come back through the 25- 50 k group.

Great weather for the RFH. Even more fun was the fixie coasting down the DVP from the 50 km halfway point back to the Gardiner. Anyways, I only saw one other fixie, a Peugot conversion. I also started w/ the 8:15 am crew and stopped a lot to take pics. Here's one of that funny needle thing you guys have.

ride for heart was AWESOME.
I got there a bit late. 7:10 and did the 75km ride.
I finished at 9:50. So... 3 hours
I kept up with one of those pelotons for about 15 mintues until we reached a long downhill and I couldn't keep up with the spin. They are CRAZY fast!
It was pretty awful in the beginnning cause I had to crap SOOO bad. and I spent 15 minutes in one of those shifty portables. (I think its the crappy-ass cookies my sister made last night.)
At then end I saw one fixie riding with his group of SS friends. Pretty awesome.
I was mildly dissapointed that I didn't see many others riding fixed & I didn't see anyone else I knew.
It was pretty cool when people riding with their friends came close and told their friends, WOAH! that kid is riding on "single speed".
And I had a nice long chat w/ these people riding an awesome tandem.
anyways... enough of my rant.
I'm excited for next saturday though

2:40 is not 3:00 hours And thanks for the extra information.. yes portables are no fun.
Jyossarian, yes, the world's largest phallic symbol. If you haven't done the obligatory tour do, the glass floor is neat. I think if you go late on a weekday, the charge is less. I think.
