No Rapha in Canada the stuff is hte bomb order it from across the pond. Used the gloves in China and they blew my mind and if I bought them they'd blow open my wallet too...

I'm totally ok with spending money on clothes and bike bits, but their stuff is just priced out of this world. There's no way I can justify it.

You two just perfectly described me coming in to work today (polyester probably didn't have a chance to get stinky yet though). Except add that I was soaking wet on top of that. I freak everyone in the office out on days like today.

Funnily enough last night I decided my camo cutoffs were in such rough shape that I needed to repair them. I got half way through sewing the various holes and tears back together before bed time last night, so I just said screw it and rode in on them today. I'll have to finish sewing on the massive butt patch later. its kind of flapping like a flag at the moment.

where u get those ones from shiz? they about the same price? the water resistant snowboard pants sucked today so I need to get suttin better...my pant legs were soaked when I reached work and I didnt bring a change of pants :(

I got them from that place that is across the street (eastwards) from MEC in the big ugly white building. Coast Mountain sports? I dunno... They were the same price range.

I wouldn't call them waterproof... They aren't bad, but you will get wet if its raining enough, and especially if you wear shorts over them like me. Between the combination of not having mudflaps (my shins get soaked) and wearing shorts over (the wet cotton seems to force the water through the cycling pants), I'm still pretty soggy by the time I get to work. I haven't compared any other cycling pants, but you might as well try another brand as mine aren't anything to write home about. They are really nice and warm though, although that can be a problem in itself!

aight cool im gonna try the other ones then...we can take notes on how waterproof they arent!! hahahahaha...youd think for such a highly advanced technological society waterproof pants for cycling would be a piece of cake! we can make nukes that would blow up a whole planet but damn those complicated waterproof cycling pants get us everytime! ;)

well, I've got a pair of vinyl rain pants like Wes would have used to wear on the cod trawling boats. They are 100% waterproof, as long as rain doesn't get in from the top or bottom, but they are 100% unbreathable and turn you into a moving sauna thats really way more gross and potentially-cold-causing than soggy cycling pants.

game set and match....soggy ass pants that may or may not keep my pants dry it is...Ill go for the mec ones and see what happens...they gotta be better then snowboard pants...

I have those MEC ones, and they've never been anything but totally watertight since I got them last Winter.

Oh, and I don't wear pants under my bike pants... just undies. I leave all my work clothes at work so it doesn't matter if I get wet or dirty.

Sometimes, I like to bust it freestyle.

Any day the snowboard pants are great for snow, suck for rain. Get ones with the zippers that go all the way up and down the legs for venting.
