just be careful to mount them high enough; they are made to be set up higher than a normal drop bar and can be quite uncomfortable on the hands if you have too much weight on them. also, don't forget they're something like 55cm wide.

Yeah, I'm like 99.9% sure a 135 would be perfect. I have this hub on now and it is 135 and where I have the cog gives a perfect line. Even a few mm shorter would work. Thanks for the idea on 63c, lots of 135 hubs out there. I have the axiom on a pristine mavic rim thats beggin to be changed.

I've busted a few nella knifes before, but never my good ones (Victorinox for me). I would consider sending it back. Don't henkils have warrenties? What were you doing to break it, and get a pic, would love to see the blade. I busted one trying to hack through veal bones, sheared right in half vertically in the middle. Freaked me out. Snapped one trying to pry some frozed demi out of a 20L pail. Not that funny as the blade kind of sprung across the room. Learned from that mistake to heat the blade first. Worked much better.

A friend gave me a moustache bar about 10 years ago and I tried on my7 speed. Was like driving a TTC bus. Even with the stem lowered a felt like a huge sail with my arms so wide apart. Looked like I was trying to hug the Staypuff Man.

My final school loan cheque has gone through as of this morning. It took ALOT of years to pay that sucker off, but I have officially put myself through school. Jeremy, two things.... Nice Clean Bike TM, wood fenders are too cool for words, and I'm almost positive you can get a replacement knife, they're a big name in the industry. OH OH to Jermey and Pyze-guy, have either of you been to that restaurant supply place across from George Brown? What are they like price wise, ...where can Daddy get himself a nicer set of knives? Or at least a few good ones.

That's what I like about those bars. Most of the time, you end up riding with your hands on the curves though, which are considerably narrower. The widest position really only gets used when you are climbing, or starting from a stop-and the extra leverage really helps in those situations.

I saw a mythbusters episode and they decided that a bike lawnmower was impossible. They couldn't even do it properly with an electric mower attached to the front. Maybe they were wrong though...

A guy I know spent almost 2 years in Guatemala working with a program to use human power to do farm work. I am pretty sure they rigged up some kind of bike roto-tiller as well as cycle generators. The Mythbusters guys are pretty good at jury rigging stuff, but in a 3rd world country, necessity is the mother of invention.

Bah mythbusters. Just because they couldn't do something doesn't mean it actually wasn't possible. This isn't like a mathematical proof or anything.
