Bag Update: I've decided to take the advice of bag-makers and users and get Pat to do my customization. I'm leaning towards reflective wings on the front flap. The sketch is being done this weekend but I'm going for a cyberpunk wing look, should be pretty righteous. Now just have to decide on what base colour to get and send it off to Pat next week. This bag is going to be...excellent

Pat has a 1-866 number so its no big worry. I'm probably going to stick with black as the base color and moss or royal blue as accents. She's located in one of the most amazing places in ontario, manitoulin island. I can't wait to get my hands on the back though I've been dreaming of such a awesome bike bag for years.

Man, I wish I had had the foresight to get in line at Toys R Us for a PS3....they are ending at 3500$USD on eBay. I'd buy that Colnago Dream I've always wanted with the profits. Sigh.

I got a Wii this week and have spent too much time playing PS3 (story research I swear). The Wii is a revolution in the way you play and conceive of the idea of video games. It gets people who would never think about gaming with a regular controller out and having a great time. The PS3 is a true elitist gamer system, when hooked up to a 1080p TV with 5.1 its a simply overwhelming experience but way way too much for the average gamer. I say Wii for the win, but then again I'm a huge nintendo franchise fan and really like the new way of looking at gaming.
Cyberpunk embroidery? Well I'm getting a sketch and giving it to Pat to see what she can do. As I have little to no artistic talent or ability I'm having a friend do the sketch for me so I'll post it when its done. I'm sure it will need tweaking before its perfect but I really like the idea of reflective wings on my bag as I rip through traffic. I've seen her work on other bags and her reflective stuff is really impressive so I'll probably end relying on her opinion to make sure the final product is what I want.

I watched the news this morning riots in the U.S. (some stores) here in Canada single file very polite as usual!
I think half of the people who bought them today will end up selling them on evil bay, hell i would.
Cheers

The whole gotta have it right now thing is beyond me. Then the recall, the ones that catch fire, the bad power cord. AS it is it fails to play many PS2 and PS games....an official glitch and it's barely out.. One guy I saw on the news flew from the middle east to try and get one today. That's just sad if this is the most important thing in your life.

I'm somewhat anticipating the new console releases. All my friends run out and spend 1000 bucks on whatever new console and games comes out and then I play them for half an hour, get bored and we end up throwing on a DVD. Then later we go out and I'm on my nice commuter while they struggle with their canadian tire specials. Nobody is tall enough to borrow my bikes, but consoles are 'one size fits all'

I haven't owned a console since my NES that I bought with my paper route money but I borrowed a friend's Gamecube last winter and played Zelda:Wind Waker and I loved it. I might borrow it again to play the new Zelda game but yeah, it isn't the most important thing in my life, it is just fun to play during the winter months.
My friends all have bikes from me that I have scored cheap Friends don't let friends drive/ride junk

The Wii is mine to keep for various reasons the PS3 play was all done at the sony headquarters, they won't let them out of their site until release day. I don't really care much for the PS3 though their controller is still designed for someone with hands much smaller then the North American standard. You'd think more companies would take the lead of microsoft and produce adult sized controllers. Myeh. Either way the graphics were impressive but the gameplay was only so-so in what I played. The Wii has me sold on the controller, playing red steel is fantastic and the included nintendo sports title has been the first game since tetris the older members of my family have really enjoyed playing. I'm sold on it and I think many others will be too.
So I says to Mable I says

Just removing the sales tax on bike gear would be a bonus.... an actual tax credit of some sort would be amazing.

holy shît, why are people paying so much for a PS3, it's ridiculous.
Why can't they just wait a bit?
apparently someone got shot in th U.S. in a riot to buy one.
