For all the gourmands, I'm making a goose for my parents on Christmas Eve which means that I will have a vast quantity of goose fat available. If anyone wants a small jar for potatoes or anything else hit up a message and I'll see what I can do.;

Sweet, I've been meaning to re-waterproof my bike gear...

I can see the headline now..."Local cyclist attacked by horde of Geese"

Hey this bicycle has an extra wheel!

edit: We have to get a few trikes like this and then do chariot racing with foam spears or nerf guns or something. Think six-horse chariots with archers and spearmen barreling around the Roman hippodrome at the time of christ with thousands of fans cheering. It will be just like that.

They didnt have trikes..but there is a group of people (nerds?) that get together every Sunday in Montreal. I cant remember the name they go by (Society of Creative Anachronists?) ..but they have huge battles with foam swords, arrows, pikes etc. There were at least 100 of em. Chariots brings a whole new dimension to it. When we first rode by we couldn't help but jeer them mockingly...after a beer or two spectating we were cheering with all the girlfriends (wenches?) in the crowd. Good times.

i think i may have to venture up to the LCBO at davisville for this tasting to get my hands on something unique. or up to markham for a really long ride (that LCBO is the ***** by the way).

Offhoff, i'll take some goose fat if you have extra.

The Queens Quay Liq has some good stuff too.

Sirrobinofcoxly 12-18-06 10:34 AM

There's a contractor of some sort in the Kensington area named Mike the Trike, and he carries hundreds of pounds of sheet rock on his trike. That guy is rough on his gear.

I have a pic around here somewhere of Derek from the Bike Joint moving my full size fridge on his cargo bike. Strangely no-one honked at him for taking the full lane on Adelaide.

i'll have to check that out later. i may venture into the one under the manulife centre as well. i just drained off the last of the last of my single malts (i was down to glenlivet!) so i'm going to need to restock soon.

unrelated - i'm going to go for a coffee run later if anyone not working / schooling is interested. probably 12:30-1:00 or so.

hmmm... how to remake the insanity of chariots? Yoke two or three riders together with someone standing on a trailer? Queen street would never be the same.... THAT's a race I'd love to see.

See?.... I always said if there was a way to hover a crushing weight over our bikes that would crush any car that interfered then you'd totally be left to your own devices....proof is in the beer fridge.

TRaffic Jammer 12-18-06 10:43 AM

Rules?....hahahahaha ....oh of course. Yea totally. Financial district in the summer.....would be a blast....stairs anyone. How about on ice? Oh I'm lovin this idea....

No tyres on trailer BMX rims so you can slide the corners..

duppy.conqueror 12-18-06 10:43 AM

careful with the debit cards out there guyz...I just got the hack attack on tha weekend!! found out today when they told me my account had been "compromised"...I told them thanx for letting me find out at the ATM this morning instead of giving me a call! they said the fraud dept. is "really busy" I said maybe they should hire more peeps then with all that service charges and low interest they give...after all that the ******* only "skimmed" 40 bux...weird...

TRaffic Jammer 12-18-06 10:45 AM

They try to stay under the radar, so bit at a time. Sipping rather than gorging, means they can do it longer generally.

operator 12-18-06 10:46 AM

To those of you who know me. party at 9 tonight msg me. (not me).

TRaffic Jammer 12-18-06 10:49 AM

Must happen a lot. I had $1000 taken from my account in one day in 2 $500 withdrawls. The Bank caught it right away and cancelled my card. They refunded the money that was stolen with minimal hassle to me. I'd love to know how and when the guys stole my PIN/card information. Apparently a lot of it is at the actually in a store, by the cashier. They double swipe your card, or have someone in line behind watch you enter your PIN.

cavernmech 12-18-06 11:00 AM

Just a heads up. There is an outdoor wear/clothing blowout happening around the corner from the shop. Lots of snowboard gear...tons of Polypro and wool base layers..hats..gloves. This is their last day there so stop by there by 5 if you are interested. 44 Britain Street.

I would like to know how they pull this s#!t as well. A friend of mine had her indentity stolen about 8 years ago. The perp (I love that term) had a Passport..credit cards...drivers license..the works. She only got all this sorted out last year. MAJOR headache. How does double swiping your card enable this to happen?

ya man thats what the lady said to me...it happens like that mostly...like dbl swipe and stuff...or the pin watch...worse for credit cards as now they actually manufacture a card and just walk around with these cards just making purchases with that...someone tried that with mine...I have a 5G limit and they tried to get a truck for 15Gs...in another city...that was funny! they told me the dude was caught redhanded by the cops with a bag o' cards...
