I'm thinking behind the saddle, mounted to the milk crate. It folds away into a small space so it wouldn't affect my cargo capacity too much. It mounts with two screws- one above and one below the cupholder in a vertical line. So... the inside of my milk crate would nicely simulate the backside of the dashboard it was meant to be attached to.

Theoretically I could just reach slightly behind me to grab the coffee.

I'd think the best spot would be right at the point where the stem and the headset meet. You could slide some sort of bracket over the steerer (assuming threadless) and then pop the stem on top and tighten into place.

I used to commute with a stainless steel coffee cup and whenever I hit bumpy bits, I would put the cup up against the stem as it seemed to go through the least amount of turbulence.

I think that's probably the most stable place, and even if you have a threaded fork you could add another locknut to hold it in place (assuming there's enough threads left)

I think you'd have to make it so it turns with the stem, and also so it doesn't interfere with Knees or brake cables.

Do you know if they sell tents at a discounted rate? I already know what I want I just want to see if I can beat MEC's price (for a big agnes seedhouse 3 SL). Thanks for the offer regardless.

Just grabbed a pair of RipZone Trilogy Gloves 20,000mm waterproof with 100gThinsulate. The entirety of the outer thumb panel is goggle wiper. All set for years to come...as well as possibly boarding Blue at Spring Break with the kids. My fingers will love me again.

Hydra-pak filled with hot coffee?

Vendor turnout is frankly pretty weak. Tent city is there as is Europe bound, trailhead and a few others. The floor plan shows most of the major vendors. It's turned into more of an information show, really. Although the hanggliding simulation is kind of neat.

Outrageous.

I just put my thermos mug in the water bottle cage. Fits perfectly. So do takeout cups. Jeez, you guys have seen my ride before, I always have a coffee with me.

A friend just asked me to do a photoshoot for an article he's writing. Telling me I'd be perfect for it. I say ok, since I like to support friends, and then ask what the article is about. "a new hair cream for guys with thinning hair. You'll be perfect". Ouch!!

TRaffic Jammer 02-22-07 06:49 PM

Shiznaz 02-22-07 06:55 PM

Guess whos still at work. You're right! Kill me now!

2wheelsgood 02-22-07 06:59 PM

my first day as a messenger i wake up to thunder and lightning, all the power in my neighborhood is out, snow falling from the sky shaped like pancakes, a little rain, and some serious wind for the ride home. It was one of the best days of my life! thanks again for the recommendation dan!

TRaffic Jammer: you going to CM? I'll bring the DVD.

Sirrobinofcoxly 02-22-07 07:44 PM

Daaaaamn it's windy out. I just went west on Bloor, and struggled all the way. I do look forward to the ride back, but with the gusts being so unpredictable, and me being a little tipsy, it could be quite the adventure.

2wheelsgood 02-22-07 07:47 PM

this morning would've been good for this

GPS coordinates? I'll call in a cruise missile strike or two. Or if you're feeling lucky tactical nuke would work as well. On that note, resident evil 2 shows Toronto city hall getting destroyed by one.

zippered 02-23-07 06:38 AM

happy fryday everyone... critical mass tonight; i plan to be there!

I_bRAD 02-23-07 08:51 AM

So... who all is racing tomorrow?

I didn't get my tires ready in time, but I'll be there as a spectator :)

TRaffic Jammer 02-23-07 09:01 AM

I found out this morning my wife and I miscommunicated and she is going to be out tomorrow night as well , so I'm not sure if I'll even be going. (I feel weird being out while she's out as well and the kids' are at home...old enough to be by themselves together, but still feel odd...you know?) All is up in the air, and wave 'em like you just don't care.
