I have the B123 steel bars 39cm width I plan on selling, but I don't want to trade as I am getting aluminum B125 bars.

Hmm.

I don't work at Toronto General. That's just how I hacked it, to keep the pookie at bay.

That would be Lagavulin. All Islay malts are peaty/smoky like that. Laphroig is another good one.

Hmm.. ever tried Bruichladdich? I think it's an Islay, and got my hands on a bottle a little while ago. I haven't had occasion to try it yet.. not much of a scotch drinker (yet), so I'm not sure what to expect.

Come out to the next B.F. Scotch tasting night. Never had Bruichladdich but judging by the Celtness of its name it is prolly a winner.

Shiznaz 05-10-07 11:18 AM

Thats all you rob! You're the only one who seems to be able to use those crazy wing style bars on a regular basis

Laphroig and Lagavulin were both in attendance. If you had one from the nearly full bottle, Somna, it was Lagavulin which cavernmech brought. There was only a wee dram left in the Laphroig bottle. And Bruichladdich is a fine Islay malt as well.

And the only thing I'd rather be doing today than riding my bike in the sun is doing inventory.

Laphroig is my favourite.

In other news, I saw a BMC track machine on Front St. earlier today. I want one.

somnambulant 05-10-07 12:05 PM

That guy's gettin' around lately! It's upsetting to me because every time I hear BMC I think "Cross Machine" and then I think "*****". It's getting a little uncomfortable.

**** bikes!

Short version: Cursive, !!!, LCD Soundsystem, Be Your Own Pet, Saves The Day, The Hold Steady, The Evens, The Blood Brothers, Mission Of Burma, Mogwai... I'm not loving all of it, but new music is still good even if it doesn't have staying power. :)

Also: seems like my cats were trying to Converge last night.. I stopped listening at around 10:00pm. One of them must have stepped on the space bar. :P (speakers were turned off, however)

I must say I find that whole top tube/seat stay junction-thing kind of kinky.

Oh yes. It's bringing sexy back.

(that's right, I said it)

canice 05-10-07 12:49 PM

is anyone doing the becel ride for heart this year? any suggestions on gearing? (mine's 47/16, which is too steep for what i imagine some of the hills will be like...)

Attention bike shop type people. ;)

On the hunt for hot weather road helmet. Not forsaking the fullface, but smog days are callin' and I'm definitely going to be out on longer harder working rides than just commuting. Any frugal suggestions are welcome. Venting is the rule, and doesn't have to be awesome brand either. Thanks so much for any and all input.

I was wondering that, too.

Canice - that is hot.
