Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't think I would care for it. I hate getting brapped.

Might not be bad on a clear, winter, Tuesday morning, maybe.

It's not the safest of roads. Avoid peak motorcycle times.

Not me. I generally never cared about fiber intake before, either. But the connection of fiber and GI flora has me wondering if I should be consuming more?

Negative. It goes over two ridges, so less than half of it is fast, and much is slow. Still an interesting ride, though.

Nice, going East to West looks to be the more fun approach...once beyond the HUMP at the state line...

Probably. I've only gone west to east, as part of a century ride

With weather looking iffy for a few days, I forced myself to go out even though I really wasn't in the mood. Oddly enough, just wanting to put in a few miles resulted in a very pleasant ride at a decent pace without trying. Sometimes, I think I overthink these things.

...we just entered the salad season here about three or four weeks ago, so quite a bit. Giant chef salad at least every other day, made in a 2 quart mixing bowl using whatever is fresh at the market, (including lettuce of several types, spinach, red cabbage, grated carrots, edible pod peas right now and maybe some chicken or salami sliced in there.
