Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Zipp Tangent valve extenders

Are they on time use or reusable?

There's a rubber seal and I just want to be sure if I need to order a new one for every tube.

They should be reusable but I reckon that rubber seal will wear out after enough usage.

I bought a pair of SRAM valve extenders at the LBS for about $11 a pop - they better be reusable!

They are reusable. Try Teflon tape on the valve stem. A hex wrench fits in the top to help you tighten the extender on the stem.

They are reusable. That said, get valve xtenders that work with removable valve cores; much better solution.

Only a better solution if your buddies tubes have removeable valve cores....If not you are screwed. Valve extenders should only be for emergencies, otherwise just buy tubes with long enough valve stems.

Uhm, what tubes are you going to buy for 80mm rims? 80 mm stems still need extenders. Also, many tubulars need extenders. I get your point that if we're talking an extender for the saddle bag it needs to be universal. However, there are a number of applications where you need an extender from the get go
