What's the difference in titanium frames.

I'm building a TST titanium bike right now. As I was looking over the frame it got me wondering how different my frame is compared to the more known company built titanium frames. The welds and the finish of the tubes on the TST is amazing, but I know once it's fully built it won't be worth half as much as the other brands. Are their higher grade titanium tubing? Or is their that much noticable difference in ride qualiy? Thanks.

Better welds, butted tubing, shaped tubing, curved stays, lighter weight, stiffness-comfort balance.

Not sure if welds could get any better, mine has shaped tubes and curved stays.

A picture would help.

I'll get some pics when I get home, still waiting on my wheels from Ribblecycles.

Looks good but so does another minor brand Everti. Hard to say why they don't command the same prices as Merlin, Litespeed, and Lynskey. Panache? Better for you, right. You buy a bike for the value and price it has for you, not for other folks.

I don't mind the low price that I bought the frame for, I was just curious.

IMO, there's little difference, but i don't expect those that have paid a premium to agree. :)

Probably not a major difference.

I ride a Habanero which is also a budget Ti frame, very pleased with it. I chose it because I could get custom geometry at an affordable price.

Most higher end Ti frames are double butted everywhere. Cheaper Ti frames often have straight tubing in some areas.
