at that price, why not just by latex tubes with removable cores and inject some stans?
|
I checked with my Spesh dealer, the S-WORKS TURBO's i run are very light for race.
Using tewbs with goop would make my tires as heavy as Armadillos which i have already. Im going to pass. |

They sound like Slime tubes, which you can buy for less than half the cost of the Specialized.
I used Slime tubes in my mtb before switching to tubeless. They indeed stopped leaks. But, they weighed a ton. |
Bwahahahahahaa!! Talk about making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Why bother with the difficulty of installing latex tubes?

I have used them for years, wouldn't ride without them. Used to get a flat about every third ride, was ruining riding for me. Once I switched to airlocks, I can usually ride a whole season on a set. If I didn't weigh so much, I would be more concerned about the weight addition they bring, but the biggest improvement for me would be to lose weight. I can actually hear a leak start, and then hear them seal with the airlock goop.
Try them. Cheers, Michael |
