Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's an aluminum CX bike but I have road tires on it right now and do group rides and commute with it

brakes works like any other brakes, but I had a hassle of a time trying to dial them in. No rubbing so far. Max rim width is 23mm, according to Ridley, but I think you can go 25mm if you wanted to.

I did. Changed the saddle to Fizik Arione, and handlebars to 3T Team carbon.

Nice. What are the wheel clearances like? I have the same bottle cages on my S2.

Clearance is good, running Conti GP's 25mm no problem. Bike came with a black
4ZA cage, that I liked but couldn't find a match, the Ibera was the closest I could find to it, bought two.

I know. Not very subtle. That's the one thing I don't like about them. Unfortunately the decals are under clearcoat so I don't want to mess with it.

Not really, it weights in at 7.46kgs on my scales, (16.44 pounds)

I have a giant Omnium that's about 1kg lighter than the Ridley
