Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, probably ok to ride on it for a short time. But this isn't something you'd want to do. Your wheel will probably get worse and now you have less efficient brakes.

It's not a difficult job to true up a wheel. Ask a cycling friend to show you how.
Be sure to re-adjust your brakes.

i know its not too tough, the zinn book has a thing about it...but i don't have a spoke wrench...its fairly bad...it rubs on both sides of the pad, and it took me a really long time to gt it perfect only to come undone again, so i think i'll wait and have it trued..

Given that its wobbling in both directions, I wouldn't ride it.
If you've tried to true it and its come out again, you probably have a little more serious of an issue that should be looked at by an experienced wheel builder. I would guess that you have uneven spoke tension through the wheel and/or low tension throughout the wheel.
