Hello all.
Does anyone have an idea what this bike would have sold for new in 2013?

I'm considering looking at a used Allez advertized by owner with 'few miles and in new condition'.

Thoughts in general on this particular model? Thoughts on ball park value as advertized? Seller is asking $1k.

Trying to get some general input before I decide to make a long drive.

Bicycle blue book says 824-848 for like new.

1k definitely seems high, but he's probably worked in some negotiating room. I'd say maybe offer $650 or $700 and see what he says. If he wants more than that and it's more than an hour drive I'd ask for a video or facetime call with the seller going through the gears and some closeups or wear areas like the chainstays and the gears themselves to see how new it is.

I have the 2011 version of that bike, paid $1,100 because I bought it at the dealer in early 2012. Love it.
