How to Combat Helmet Itch

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How to Combat Helmet Itch

No matter what helmet I have, once it gets a bit hot and I start sweating, my head itches like crazy.

I want to go helmet less but as you know, thats kinda dangerous.

Any advice? Should I wear a cap?

This may sound stupid, or obvious, but try washing your helmet. A surprising lot of people will wear their same helmet for years, sweating profusely, and never wash it.
If that doesn't work, try a cycling cap.

Use a shampoo that doesn't clog your pores and cause heat rash on your head
