One of Treks big "suprises" seems to have leaked

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

All joking aside, that's not a half bad idea. They could make it a Project One thing, so you can pick any paint, components, etc. But unless they sold the pants off of them, the price probably wouldn't be very attractive. Plus, the lack of downtube shifters would probably be a deal-killer for you.

No, just a nice steel frame with a level top tube, 105 or Ultrgra 11 speed, $1500-$2000 range. Nothing fancy. Like the Raleigh Record Ace they made for a couple of years (not the new one that they ruined).

I'm sorry, but the tests came back positive. You have Enoma D. We'll get you admitted and start the intravenous antibiotics immediately.

it's called CAAD 10... Aluminum instead of Steel

is it me or do the new carbon bikes look they all come from same factory and are selected from 1 of 5 molds?

More or less they all look generically they same with the difference being they type of bike... Aero type bike or classics style bike or hybrid.

Eventually the only combo left will be "Moaned" and that's when they'll come up with new letter.

There are not that many aerodynamic shapes. Boeing and Airbus airplanes all look quite similar too, don't they?

They've still got 717 unique permutations to work through. Sure, a bunch of those are duds but I think it'll take them a while to get to the end.

That is one ugly bike. As long as the big manufacturers keep mass producing this type of ugliness, I'll be eyeing the custom built steel frames.

Its a "aero" bike, not a traditional road bike anymore.

If you want the old style Madone, then the Emonda is what you want... and what I got.

Not seeing the ugly! But it is an aero frame so not as classy as most would like.
Would look great in black with a few decal removed here and there

Agree, I think Trek did a great job, and I'm a Specialized/Giant guy. But all those Shimano decals, reminds me of a Magna or Roadmaster bike found at Wally World or the Big Zero.

Trek is famous for their bikes being rolling billboards.

So i had to go the Project One route when I replaced my Madone with a Emonda. Almost everyone ask "who makes it".
