If you are going inexpensive at as well be safe. Safety glasses have become awesome.

I may go into town today and hit up Lowes. They have these Bolle Boa's in stock. Supposed to be anti-fog.

Shop Bolle Boa Safey Glasses at Lowes.com

These may be even better.

Waiting for someone to pop in and try to justify their $180 Oakleys by saying something about impact resistance and risking blindness...

I'm on vacation and my older glasses broke so I'm probably going the CVS Ironman route, they're $19 and seem decent. I'm sure they would be less online but I'd like them before my ride tomorrow.

I wear a pair of Foster Grant Iron Man glasses I picked up at Walgreens for about $15. I was recently viewing cycling glasses in Nashbar (or some other catalog) and I noticed that several of the expensive cycling glasses looked surprisingly similar in the bridge area to my cheap glasses causing me to ponder who actually makes the cycling specific glasses. This also reminded about something I learned along the way.....If you buy a rope in the hardware store it costs $5. Buy the exact same rope in a boating store and it costs $50. There's nothing wrong with wearing a pair of sunglasses that don't have a cycling logo on them (but the cool kids might make fun of you)

I'm a tellin' ya --- the Remington's (post #17 ) are everything that's been said: They Are safety glasses (you know; hot brass, lead splatter, gun parts LOL). They are good optically. They do protect one's eyes from the wind. They dont fall off. They are comfortable for most anyone; I have a size 8 head & they are okay; my wife's head is about 6.5 & they fit her as well. The 'secret' seems to be the molded in soft & somewhat sticky comfort bits (the grey in the pix in #17 ); they just seem to stay where you put them. Also, the nose pieces self-adjust and are so comfortable that neither of us notice them. --- no, Remington did not pay me but I wish they would ;o)

I have a pair of Oakley M Frames that I've worn since 2004. New lenses are $20 (grey). New rubber kits were $10 on sale, got a few.
