I love these bibs. Extremely comfortable to me. I bought mine from Ribble for $69.00.

I ordered a second pair in large this week from Bike Tires Direct while they had a 25% off everything Pearl Izumi sale and applied my points toward them getting them under $100. If I had remembered I had a 10% off coupon from a previous purchase from them I would have got them for maybe under $90. My first pair ran me like $80 with all of the combination of discounts and points they offer.
I'm guessing these are a thicker material than most other bib shorts like the Asos. I know I picked up some cheap Cannondale mountain bike bib shorts I use for road and they are much lighter weight and more breathable. I'm guessing the Pearl Izumi shorts will last though and not be as delicate.

Yeah, I ordered some of these according to the Pearl Izumi sizing chart - 32" waist (jeans sizing) = medium on Pearl Izumi size chart. Well, maybe not - while I think they are 'snug' everyone else thinks they are just way too small. Granted, everyone is hypercritical about everything I do so it's no big surprise anyone would try to make something of it. They seem to not be so bad while I'm actually riding which is the only thing I really do in them anyway.

If you think their short sizing is weird, don't ever try their shoes.

I got my large in and just tried them on and they certainly aren't as snug, but the mediums aren't too snug in my opinion (after riding in them last night and not yet washed), but what do I know. They do feel a bit too snug in the crotch when they are fresh out of the wash and have hung dried. I'm keeping both. I thought about putting the slightly used ones on Ebay, but it looks like Ebay is full of stolen pairs that are brand new with tags is my guess. I don't know who would buy somebody's used bib shorts btw, but I'm sure somebody would for the right price.

Just curios. Are bib shorts suppose to go up your butt or what? I wore mine for first time and darn things were so far up my crack it was bothering me some.

I was in need of a wheel magnet so I ventured to my LBS and found that they sold Assos. Hearing all the reviews I had to try on a pair. They had the Cento bib short that I tried on in an XL ( 200lb, 37" waist, 6' 1" tall). Must say they were interesting. I love the fact that they have a man pouch that won't crush the goodies. They also were not very tight. They were form fitting but looser than what I am use to, not to say this is bad but different. What was awesome was the chamois. It was suspended within the shorts and appeared to be made of either different materials. This is not the first time I saw this. De Marchi and Santini also put different fabric and density foams in the man region aiding in comfort.
What bothered me was the chamois size. This thing felt small and too far forward. They reminded me EXACTLY like the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. In-R-Cool short for density of pad and placement. those too feel too far forward and firm. I cannot wear them for very long and immediately turned me off to the Assos when I tried them on. Everything else was a change I could appreciate except this.
Does Assos make a larger pad or at least a longer one? Which bib shorts have that?
Anyone else feel the new Assos bibs either have a chamois that is too small or positioned too far forward?
If this is typical, either I still have weight to shed, have lower proportions not conducive to Assos bib shorts or Assos changed things for the worse.
One more thing. While standing, the shorts were nice and smooth. When I sat in a riding position, the material connected to the 'man pounch' wrinkled along its perimeter.
not impressed
