Are you getting the pedals/shoes from the same place as your bike?

If so, they should be willing to help fit the cleats on the shoes and the pedals on the bike, so it doesn't mess up your fit.

It wouldn't hurt to have them check your fit.

Clipless pedals can show little issues in your fit. Whereas before, your foot would adjust on the pedal, if the fit is slightly off, they won't be able to do that as much with clipless pedals. So a bad fit with clipless pedals is actually worse than one with platform pedals. You also have to worry about cleat position on the shoe, before you even get to how the new pedals/shoe may affect your seat height/fore/aft position.
