Summer time socks?
I've always worn thick wool socks during winter/early spring and regular old ankle height cotton socks in summer. It just occurred to me that wearing cotton anything is probably a bad idea and maybe that's part of why I get so hot in summer. Anyway, cost isn't a concern, just want comfortable/breathable/durable socks. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thin wool ones. Smartwool makes thin cycling socks that are pretty good, but overpriced and don't really last. Any merino sock of about the same thickness will work great. I stock up when they go on sale.

SmartWool Outdoor Sport Ultra Light Micro Socks - Merino Wool - paid about $7.50/pr.
Currently my favorite. Didn't think wool would be so cool. |

This, all year round. My winter cycling shoes are insulated, so there is no point in thicker socks. |
