Chipo hated carbon bikes when he actually competed professionally. Specialized made him an Aluminum frame to win the Worlds on 2003. It's all marketing boz!

Back when carbon was still new to cycling they used it just as you would aluminum and steel. Now they understand it better. and realize how it should be optimized for cycling. Not just a 1 to 1 tube replacement.
Now Cippo being a sprinter would wrack the hell out of that bike! I wouldnt have wanted it either. If you don't realize it by now Cippo is, and was the man. When he retired cycling lost its sense of style and panache. It became power meters and numbers! Racers became robots and ballast and motors and were known just for their performance.
Cippo had the performance and the style. Something that is lacking in todays cycling. Sagan was a glimmer of hope, but now he is for all attentive purposes a robot, told to perform or else! No more antics! Just win!
Cippo needs to be in cycling, be it his frames or just his presence, as in the picture that was provided. Maybe a few of you should do a little research insted of just bashing from the tops of your heads.
And have any of you heard of R & A Cycles in new york. Far cry from Ali Baba. Cippo's RB1000 frame is good. The new Venge is Awesome! And so is the new Madone. All of these new frames were all starting to look exactly alike, I for one am very glad that some companies are exploring new shapes and tech.
And yes Cippo is living the life that I wish that I could, the Ladies, his own line of frames, and those Mini Movies!! Don't we need that in cycling now? Or just someone larger than life? Bob rolle, Dave zabriski, and even Lance.
Sagan can you please just wheelie accross the finish line ? Just once?

^^^ Very entertaining. Hogwash, but very entertaining. What we need in professional cycling now, just like always, is people that ride races, win race and lose races. I have no use for clowns and their stunts. I could care less about a rider's personal life or his antics on or off the bike. Who rode, who won, who lost. That about says it all. It's enough excitement for me.

Hbrown , +1 on Cipo . I can still remember the stunts he pulled in the Tour with his outrageous clothes and bike color . In one tour on July 4th he wore stars/strips from head to toe .
All you see these days are either black or white team clothes and bikes . I sure miss the good old days .

For $5 i'll share it with you ! But only if you don't read on. There really is no secret when you actually think about it. But there is.
This bike was made by a sprinter.
I couldn't figure out why I was always wore out after riding this bike. This morning was only the fourth time ever, that I rode it. I actually was going to try to sell it. I couldn't get used to it. the fit was perfect, I sat lower to the ground (less wind resistance), The ride was as iff on a magic carpet. White italian world champian model.Vittoria Pave tires.
True black Topolino 3.0's on it, Di2 shifting, and 3T stem and aeronova bars. Being a italian bike it had to have a gold chain.
The bike looks GOOD!!
Now I finally realize why most of the pro's choose the 800 over the RB1000. Its not because the RB1000 sucks! And its not because the RB1000 can't climb , Because IT CAN CLIMB Very WELL!!!! The RB1000 Is A GREAT BIKE !!
Now, if a sprinter makes a bike he wants it to be stiff and transfer every ounce of power to the wheels. The Hell with everything else ! Beauty is a byproduct. What the hell am i saying!! This is a Cippo Bike ! Beauty is foremost !! Sorry Cippo, I think I am still realling from the ride!
You have to change your whole mindset and riding style, to ride this bike ! This is not a spin at a 120 cadence bike. spinning on this bike is what tires you out! On this bike you have to drop from 19 to 17 on your rear cassette. Slow your cadence and Mash! Instant reward !! Instant speed !! By what I mean by mashing is just to slow your cadence. instead of 100rpm you might do 95.
And it WORKS ! Where I would normally do 19-21mph I was doing 21-23ph !! Not tired, same effort, more speed! Got home, not worn out, feeling good, Loving the Bike. But confused. From now on, everytime that I ride this bike, I have to adjust my riding! Pace,cadence, everything !
Now If I was a PRO. Can you imagine what this would do to you? The bike is everything that Cippo claims it to be. But in order to ride it you basically have to relearn everything all over again.
Bottom line. Now you would have to kill me to get this bike away from me ! It will be ridden ! I'm training new mucsules ! I'm much faster ! Less fatigue. The only downside is that People will still bash this bike, Its not the bike, its the rider that has to change.
