Removing paint/logos from carbon components?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Removing paint/logos from carbon components?

In particular I have a Ritchey WCS seatpost and I don't particular like the way the multicolored logo looks on my otherwise black/white build. Is there a way to safely strip the paint and clear coat off the seatpost without compromising the quality? I was thinking of getting a generic chinese seatpost for about $30 but since I already have the Ritchey I would like to use it

On anodized aluminum I use non-acetone nail polish remover, but I'm guessing that would damage the clear coat on the carbon.

I don't really care about removing clear coat (I think the logos are under clear coat). I just don't want to damage the carbon's structural integrity. If I have to remove clear coat and leave a raw carbon look that's fine or remove it all and repaint

most logos are under clearcoat, but it's easy to sand away and re-spray with clearcoat.

Don't worry about sanding some of the CF away in the process. The amount you sand away removing logos is minuscule.

Put a less offensive decal over the Ritchey one.

Thanks. Doing some more research it seems some 600 grit sandpaper should do the trick

Be sure to spray it with clearcoat when you are done. It protects the CF from UV light.
