Power failure
I took my bike out this weekend and did a long ride through some farm country below Mt Rainier. 38 minutes into the ride, power and cadence went blank on both my Garmins. I tried searching for the meter a few times, it couldn't be found. Finished the ride (about two hours) without it ever coming back.
At home, after a few tries, I could see the PM with my laptop. It already had the most current software, I re-installed it on the off chance it would do something. Went out for a ride last night, immediately got a message saying the install angles must be set before it can report power, please spin at 80 to 90 rpm. It reported cadence while I did this. (This is a Garmin Vector 2.) Last night's ride has power data, I didn't change the batteries after it went on strike.
Does any of this imply a faulty unit?
