What's the usable lifetime of a new CF frame?
Are newer techniques in CF construction able to replicate steel frame longevity?

Longer than steel, carbon does not rust.

Possibly correct. Unless it asplodes.

Absent crash damage CF frames will last a very long time. And if you do have crash damage, it's more economical to repair, than a TIG welded steel frame |
The value of the highly accurate number I provided is that one knows precisely when the asplosion will occur. You can invite your friends for a viewing party. They have to bring the beer, of course.

Are you sure that it is not a multiple of PI?

20,000 hours or 20,000 rides. Which ever comes first

Easy. It's done when it hits the garage when you forgot to take it off the roof rack.

I have over 50,000 miles on my Trek frame and fork, still perfect. I suppose the lifespan is indefinite.

By the way, the accurate and precise picture looks an awful lot like my pistol targets at 7 yards. |
