Need to make my bike whole again

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need to make my bike whole again

No scratches on the paint, just a few on me. As you can tell, I broke the nameplate cover off, & if I can't get the part, weeellll I'll just have to sell the bike as dysfunctional. Ok, while it's not that bad, I'm having trouble figuring out the series & where to order it online.

It's 2004 Ultegra 9, & I think it's the 6510. The only place I've found it is bikeparts.com, but its out of stock. To avoid an online/LBS debate, I have none within respectable distance, & the one that is would prbly have to order it too, so I can do that myself.

Any links?

I just replaced mine. You can't buy it from this link on-line, but it is from the LBS where I got mine. It will at least give you a part number to look up.

Sorry, I looked at all the usual "on-line" suspects and nothing. Your best bet is probably to have the LBS order it and if it is too far to drive see if they will ship it to you.

The link in the post above is not for the Ultegra shifter name plate cover(s) you're looking for. The links below are for the left and right cover. They're special order and take about 14 days to process. Good luck!!

Ditto. If your LBS doesn't have them in store (mine has) they will at least be able to order the right replacement caps for you. Be prepared to pay more than you think they are worth. My LBS charges 8 Euro for one cap. I complained, of course, but their answer was "Don't crash, then."

Previously, I ordered some brifter caps on-line: oops, wrong 'Ultegra' generation.

That'd be great, didn't think they'd be that hard to find. I could stick a money order in the mail to you or your shop whenever you find out.

And thanks everyone for the part numbers, I'll try those if velocipedio doesn't have any in stock.
