So i'm doing my morning run and ....

I see this streak in front of me off the street, jumps the curb and proceeds to leave me like a bad habit.
I had seen this guy twice before last couple months try to close in on me but i kept way ahead.
Today we raced on a 5.3 mile course in the park which is a challenge doing 30 mph+ with joggers and baby strollers.
As i'm drafting on his "6" i look at his rear hub and see a single speed .... im like OMG.

This guy was like an F-4 Phantom II with J-79's in burner.
I got my hour workout in about 20 minutes.
I need the extra gears to get up hills but the Cinelli Vigorelli is an ultra light ultra fast frame for sure.
I saw the guy later at the local Strabucks and we had a good chat.
If you tap on the frame it sounds like Carbon but it's a special alloy of aircraft aluminum.
He said he was having trouble staying in front of me which me and my ego appreciated.
I have a new repect for single speed bikes ...

Nothing like doing 30 mph around baby strollers to get a mom's heart rate up.

So much BS here.
If no BS, and youre doing "30mph + with joggers and baby strollers", then you're just a reckless idiot.

If you were close enough to see his cog, you could have crossed his jet wash and entered a flat spin.
Using your ejection seat around all of those babies and joggers would have been dangerous.

Did that Starbucks have the bike stand for photo's? That's cool...perfect after a 30mph sprint through the park.

CNC2204, with all that speed you should consider the Gateway Cup this coming weekend. It really is a fantastic event and the courses are quite nice. Good prize money as well.

Track bikes are for people who either don't know how or are too lazy to keep a proper bike tuned and running tip-top.
