Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

If people had just STFU'd about doping in pro cycling, we could have had a big investor willing to name it "Lance World". This is why we can't have nice things.

I'm in the planning stages of one for 200 million, just waiting on investors.

You might have something there. Richmond with Lance World is right between Kings Dominion and Busch Garden in Williamsburg. It would be the theme park center of the world.

I'm sure there are a few people who'd consider making Velo City their vacation destination, but I don't see how anyone could expect to NOT lose their shirt investing in such a big resort aimed at so few. Personally, I think it would be more interesting to improve and expand the amenities at existing velodromes, or incorporate new velodromes in suburban sports parks.
