2006 Bianchi Cross Concept as all-arounder any concerns I should have?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2006 Bianchi Cross Concept as all-arounder any concerns I should have?

I'm considering the purchase of a 2007 Bianchi Cross Concept for an all-around bike. I intend to do some fitness rides (20-30 miles) fairly regularly, might commute the four miles to work, and have aspirations of doing some touring. I know that the touring will be challenging with no braze-ons.

Is this a reasonable bike to look at for such uses? At $500, the price seems right. Any concerns I should have with the carbon rear triangle? Have these proven problematic?

Any and all advice welcome.

Thanks

Seems like a good deal but I would upgrade the brakes to Shorty Ultimates
