Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm working on not getting mad. Getting a sandwich caught in your fork makes for a good story too.

Not as mad as having to ride a Trek and thus not as mad as having to ride a Trek with a stupid warning sticker on the fork.

All Trek's need warning labels on the fork if they are carbon. OP is lucky to have not had the fork asplode and throw him over the bars.

Oh great, as if there's not enough debate between rim and disc brakes. Now we have PB&J brakes.

One second thought, a hungry cyclist might also count their blessings for the free snack.

What's wrong with people? Taking out a perfectly good PBJ like that-it's a disgrace.

The peanut butter adds rolling resistance and will make you stronger on training rides. What a great idea! I wonder when this will catch on in Europe?

Another reason disc brakes are superior. It's common knowledge that Skippy and Smucker's all over your rim decreases caliper brake performance.

I wonder if creamy peanut butter has a higher shear factor than crunch peanut butter. Could make a substantial difference in average speed when droping the hamer.

For mtn bikes, use crunchy.

But does it have the proper viscosity? Or is it all hype like most chain lubes?

You, sir, are asking questions that matter not. The plain simple fact is that by using Organic peanut butter you being a good steward of the earth. You are not using those evil refined petrochemicals. The fact that you have to repack your bearings every other ride and three times on a century is of no matter. You are being a good steward of the earth and that should make you feel better. Also, Barack Obama will invite you to the White House and give you a hearty handshake and a pat on the back. Maybe even a plaque.
