Fizik R5 Boa Uomo similar model?
Hello,
Today I tried the fizik uomo and really liked the fit. The system is very nice and the shoes felt awesome. Almost bought them but I would like to consider alternative models first.
I never used Look clip and still ride with SPD. I have feet numbness pretty fast and can feel a hot spot in my feet. Changing to Look or SPD-SL was the most popular suggestion.
I still don't know why so many people prefer the Look VS SPD-SL. Anyway, I am considering any shoe that have a similar fit to these shoes. I think they are quite amazing but sadly my reference is only a pair of cheap Shimano SPD shoes. I will try a bit more pair of shoes in store but I would like to hear about you guys suggestion.
My budget is <200$ CAD. Wiggle have nice price on Look Max 2 (and carbon but that might be a bit overkill). I was going for the Classic 2 but it sounds like it is worth spending a bit more...
Cheers

It's a poor suggestion, especially if you're forefeet haven't been checked for tilt. That's the most common cause for hotspots. You may need nothing more than a wedge in your shoes.

I realise I should have said that I have valgus feet (see image).

I try to keep my feet with the good alignment but ultimately, more pressure end on the big toe side of the foot.
Yea, I guess I am pretty fracked up. Also have narrow feet... I wonder what can help me. I am willing to spend money for a sport I really enjoy!

Lake shoes are very nice as well, and they run narrow. I usually wear a D width shoe and have to order the Wide in Lakes. I really like their BOA system too.
