Is that possible chain ring gets loose after 80 miles on a new bike to cause creaks?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is that possible chain ring gets loose after 80 miles on a new bike to cause creaks?

i been riding my synapse for 80 miles and today i noticed a creak from the chain or from the BB hope not! its not that load but annoying Im thinking to lube the chain ,tomorrow i will check the chain ring bolts for tightness .

Iam a heavy rider 210 lbs but i don't push hard so i don't think that's the cause.

Any input would be appreciated!

Anything is possible. Double check the torque and if it's loose, check every other fastener.

Is your bottom bracket of either of the press fit types?

Check out this list of possible causes... Noises on the bike are annoying because they are often hard to locate. Good luck! Creaks, Clicks & Clunks...

That is the most likely culprit. BB30 and PF30 bottom brackets are famous for creaking if not fixed in place with Loctite 609 retaining compound. If you use an LBS to solve this specific problem, you will need to tell them that is how you want the reinstallation done.

Hundreds of people post here with creaking due to a pressed in bottom bracket. Loose crank bolts, not so much. In fact almost never. By all means go after the problem in the way that makes sense to you. Just remember what you have been advised.

BB30 = creaking. Take it back to the shop to see if they can adjust it
