I'm a 3T Ambassador
I just found out I've been accepted as a brand ambassador for 3T cycling. Specifically, for some new wheels they will be offering. Has anyone else experience doing this? I kind of applied on a lark and didn't really expect to be accepted. It doesn't seem particularly demanding, just post on social media with pictures and reactions to the wheelset.

You're kind of a big deal now
edit: Change all your profile pictures/avatars to 3T, update your linkedin/strava/myspace/tinder to say "Sponsored by 3T"

Take it!
They'll probably offer them to you at industry pricing. If they do...you can ride them for a year and sell them. You can break even or may be able to come out ahead.

I'd gladly be a social media shill to use $1,000 wheels for a year, I don't see how he can overvalue this deal, it's awesome. I'd just worry about damage coverage. I imagine they'd probably want their "ambassadors" to race on these things, but what if a race crash destroys a rim? Are these ambassadors liable for replacement? That wouldn't be worth the risk.
Edited to add: I'd be thrilled to go through this sort of thing because my current wheels are $200 Vueltas, and I can't reasonably afford anything better at the moment, so it'd be my first chance to try "nice" wheels. If someone already has a set of Zipps and DA C24s hanging in their garage, then yea, probably more annoyance than it's worth.

Industry pricing on the wheelset (as mentioned by someone above). Thus, to another poster's question, since I'm buying them, I'm on the hook if I have a non-warranty eligible issue. Also, racing isn't a condition - I just have to get photos of the wheels on my social media to be compliant. Also, there's a free Castelli jersey (w/3T logo) and a free cap. These are nice, but the real value for me is getting a 60mm carbon wheelset for real cheap. I plan to use them primarily on my TT bike. Good luck!

My wife was a Specialized ambassador. They gave her a free bike, helmet, shoes, two kits, and a trip out to California to learn about the products, meet all the people and get in some riding.

Their technology on the wheels is impressive. But maybe not persuasive for some. At least worth a second look.
