Software to "Neutralize" parts of a ride? (Strava, Ride with GPS etc)

You worry to much about what others think. Most only pay attention to their own accomplishments anyway.
If you want you can create a private Strava segment (for you only so as not to clutter up Strava) that way you can see your pace for any segments you make up. You can invite friends to your private Strava segment if you want to compare w/them.
I would also suggest not spending so much time warming up/down. 1/4mi at most.

I gave an excellent suggestion of using private strava segments so you can compare w/friends.

Throwing this out into the void... Assuming one has "friends" or riding buddies that care about your average speed on a given day and use it to gauge your performance, wouldn't it be fun to artificially skew numbers by riding at a walking pace for a few miles, doing your normal ride, and then finishing with some more walking pace miles?
The judgy types will see all your rides averaging 13mph and think you can't hang, but when you actually ride/race with them you drop them. Wouldn't that be more satisfying than an e-wang contest on average speed?

This is probably the closest suggestion to using software to neuter parts of a ride.

I ride a 25 mph average when I neutralize everything below 25 mph. Cue bragging rights!

In Strava under "analysis" you just click-drag across the elevation chart to select a section and then it shows your average speed. And Strava's guess about power.
If you want your friends to see it, aren't there already Strava segments on your routes?

I NEVER include my home in Strava. If I do, it gets immediately cropped out. So, almost all rides begin and end at least 1 mile from my house.
So, part of my rides show up under Strava, and the rest on my Bell Cyclocomputer.
I'm not worrying too much about my average speeds, but I'm trying to hammer on a couple of segments (for entertainment purposes only). I have my eye on KOM on a few really fast flatish segments, and the battle for the top is getting pretty intense (which means I have to take it easy on other parts of my ride).

Quit riding slow at the start and end of your rides. You don't need a 'warmup' or 'cooldown' to ride at 17-20mph.
Or don't worry about it...

It's funny how, as much as they say not to worry about what other people think, some are so certain of what "really matters" to the people they are addressing or talking about, and what they actually need or don't need.
Personally, what I need to warm up varies greatly, depending on several variables: time of day, length and intensity of intended ride, weather.... Also, I find average speed to be a very useful number.
For instance, if I have a certain amount of time, I can estimate how far I can go, and if I have a place in mind that I want to go to, I can estimate how long it will take to get there. With average speed based on average riding, I can adjust estimations based on how ready I am to ride or may dawdle at the start, how hard I may be willing to push myself, or whether the conditions will be more or less favorable in terms of wind, climbs and traffic. Of course precision is fairly irrelevant in such estimations, but it is of interest if one is looking for improvement over time - a season or so. As direct measures of energy, wattage numbers are of course much better indicators of improvement, but they remain useless when one is really interested in time and distance.
And although I do a little better than my modest average speeds suggest, it's no coincidence that the guys with higher average speeds are indeed the guys who drop me in races - I don't need to compare our watts/kg numbers to know that if I don't really improve my average speed, I won't beat them.
