That is a very versatile car. Doh, I guess that is obvious from the name. But seriously, we have rented them on a few occasions and found them very competent and especially useful for luggage and hauling grandkids and wine around Napa. I would say you made a good choice.

I tend to average around 87 on my rides.

@LAJ, maybe the cadence thing really is the cranks. I have no issues with high cadence, except on hills. My cranks are pretty short at 165 mm.
A bit of a frustrating ride today because I had some specifics I wanted to accomplish today to prep for Saturday's TT. Multiple delays in getting started and eventually I ran out of light & had to call for a ride home. But prior to that, I was riding the TT bike and thinking how much I just like the thing. Got in one really hard interval, a PR or two, just feeling great on that bike.
And funny thing is, now when I get on a road bike everything seems inconviently located. With the TT bike everything is literally at your fingertips. Except the brakes of course.

Heck, I'm pretty happy with a 95 cadence out on the road. Considering it was all Z2-3, with 8% in Z1, I stayed pretty busy. Kickin' it at 112-120 in Zone 3, gets the heart and breathing up there, no matter how well prepared a person is. It's just not my favorite area to train.

I have always pedaled at 90-100. Always been comfortable for me. Sometime as little faster cadence if there is a tailwind.

Back when I first started riding, I was a masher. I rode everywhere in top gear all the time. I was also an idiot. At any rate, I eventually learned about cadence, got a computer that showed it and got myself spinning about 85-90 average. With all the time and health setbacks over the previous couple of years, I've been at a solid 75 rpm average for months now. I can barely get in enough base miles to even think about working on cadence. It's kind of depressing, actually.
Overall, though my fitness has been relatively stable despite the lack of saddle time. I finally got in a weekend ride and after 30 miles, the legs and lungs felt awesome. It was the back and my rear end that were sore.

Today's indoor training was a perfect 100 rpm average for 57 minutes.

Good club ride today. I have no idea about my cadence but would guess 90. Some new guy showed up and is clearly a strong rider but generally was nice and only showed off on one climb. He took the KOM on that one, deservedly so.

BTW, I had a bone density scan last week, first one in about six years. Also the first one since I started testosterone therapy (injections) about 18 months ago or a little more. It has taken me almost all that time to get the dosage right. I don't need very much to raise my T level from the bottom of normal to near the top, only about 0.4 ml every two weeks.
In any case the bone densities for various locations (spine, hip, etc.) were 2-5% above the previous levels. Clearly that small a difference from 2009 could have been experimental error. I have no idea what the standard deviation on such a test is. But I am very encouraged. I mean it is better than the down trend I had been seeing. Current results are definitely in the "age-appropriate" range.

But all those rings through their nose and belly-button and God knows where else . . . they gotta be full of infection.

Hey it is afternoon cycling season in Houston. Bright blue sky, 72 degrees at 2:00PM, low dew point and 4 MPH wind. I can live with that.
See ya later, alligator. I'm outta here.

Then in the Bronx you can hop off of 95 onto 87 all the way up to the north country.

Gorgeous, gorgeous day. May not mean so much to some folks, but we only get a handful of these every year. As they say in Philly, "Beeeeeyouteeful!!
Oh yeah, nice ride too.

Yes, every six months. Used to be a constant 0.4. Since starting on the T, it has risen to 0.5. Urologist is underwhelmed. As he says, the increase is of no importance, per se, but it is important to know the baseline change in the event something comes along to have a real effect.
As I said, I am on 1/5 of the usual starting dose and am turning in pretty constant numbers of 950-975 ng/dl.
