Breaking Wind in a Paceline

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Problem with parody threads. What looks merely silly in context of the thread for which it is a parody, once the link is lost to the vagaries of time, will look really, really stupid.

In fact I could be at risk of being Principal Anderson'd.

Do you do it seated or off the saddle? because it's not easy to do it sitting.

You need a cutout saddle for seated gas expulsion.

Specialized even makes a gauge for measuring where your blow hole is, or so I've heard.

Ahh, so that's the purpose of that cutout. Gotcha! I've always wondered.

The 'PRO' model will give you actual PSI. The basic model just helps you locate the hole. Good enough for the average Tooter.

Once I was breaking wind on a crappy ride, then my tire went flatulence.

I was forced to hopper off the bike.

The correct answer is so obvious yo us farters. It's right after you finish the pull and you fall off to rotate back. If you follow it in front, the surge creates a gap. If you do it in back, you can crash into the last riders. The only safe place is on the side.

Of course this doesn't work with a rotating double line.

Give a little gap, soft pedal and let 'er rip. Puts you right back where you want to be if you time it right. If I ate Taco Bell the night before, I leave a bigger gap........

I think this voids the warranty of most saddles...
