opinions please... specialized allez comp dual

Have a bike already, a orbea onix carbon. Found a specialized allez comp dual on cl that I might pick up on a trade for non cycling stuff. Owner has valued at 650.00. Make my winter bike since I want to ride year round but not put carbon thru that. Size is right and photos look good .opinions. Thanks

Guess it depends on what you're trading. It's a good bike and everyone needs at least two.

This advice is probably solid if you are trading hard to sell stuff. It is a good bike but the price of $650 is really steep. For that price, I would go to Performance and buy a brand new Fuji.
Best advice--sell your stuff and buy what you want with cash. It is always king. It sure seems like you would end up better this way as that bike is not worth even close to $650.

Thanks for advice, guy was firm on belief it was worth 650.00. Showed him book value still no deal. Told him to keep it. Was not in the perfect shape pic looked like

It is truly amazing how some people over value their belongings. I am guessing that that bike sold for roughly $1000 new and that was almost 8 years ago. They are not appreciating assets. The seller or holder in this case will be sitting on that bike for some time at that price.
