Pro Wheel Builder asian hubs
I've never seen these hubs mentioned here before and just wondering of anyone has experience with them. I'm looking to get a stiffer wheelset, my current 18/24's flex too much on these rough roads here. Their Aeris wheelset with 24/28 spokes weighs only 1482g's, less than 100 more than mine, and costs only $425. I've just never heard anything about these hubs before. But I can get them in blue which is cool. Details are in the link.

Well, they look like the usual Taiwanese hubs like Bitex or similar that you get from Bike Hub Store or Circus Monkey but just with the PWB branding on them. No way to know for sure, but in general such hubs are very competent. It is easy to change the bearings and freehub body when necessary. To my way of thinking this is a de facto standard for economical hubs and wheels these days. You can spend more but are unlikely to get your money's worth. I would rather have 4-5 pairs of these than 1 pair of Chris Kings, White Industries, American Classics, etc.
One thing to check is the dish on the rear hub. If it is only offered in symmetrical drilling like 12:12 or 14:14, make sure the DS : NDS tension ratio is less than 2:1. You can do that by calculating the inverse of the flange-to-center width ratio on the two sides.

Bitex and the others sell most of their hubs, it seems, with no label at all. Even BHS concluded his customers preferred a no-name hub. Go figure.
Pro Wheel Builder is a reputable shop. I am certain they will stand behind the wheels as well as have spare hub parts if they are ever needed.
Hint: Go on BHS's site and see if you recognize any of the hub models as being the same as these. Same for the ebay sales of Circus Monkey.
