Mine had no light at all and plugging it in didn't help.

So fat the LBS has just given me a new one each time.

That's weird. I've had mine for quite some time with zero issues. And I often run it day and night. I don't think it's ever seen rain, but it has seen a good amount of harsh gravel roads. Good to know the dealers are taking care of you properly.

I looked at this one when taillight shopping few months ago. What ultimately turned me away was reading of many failures customers had, particularly when exposed to rain. And the fact that Cygolite Hotshot lights were available for less money and much higher output.
