Tour from Athens to Zakynthos

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tour from Athens to Zakynthos

Destination

To ride from Athens to Zakynthos seeing as much as I can during that time, taking photos, etc, all alone, on a rented road bike (cheaper that way). The plan is:

1st day 170km from Athens to Nafplio
2nd day 240km from Nafplio to Finikounta
3rd day resting
4th day 190km from Finikounta to Killini, and to Zakynthos by ferry
5th day resting in Zakynthos
6th day 100km around Zakynthos

When

The end of May.

Current stamina

The longest distance I have done this year was 200km a day on a hybrid bike, and 100km a day on a road bike, in September. Right now it's worse, I regularly ride ~30km on a road bike. But I have 4-5 months of training.

Problems

1. Can I train myself for this tour in 4-5 months?
2. I'll be riding a rented bike
3. What about a bike, if you sleep in a cheap hotel?
4. The safety - I'll be riding alone.
5. Getting food/drink when doing a ride.
6. Boredom?
7. The wind, but I hope in Greece it won't be much of a problem.

Any suggestions? Maybe another place? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds awesome, quite ambitious, but awesome! I'm jealous, and wish you the best of luck!
