Ridley Scott???

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I really have no idea, but he's 78. He probably doesn't ride too fast if he does.

His other important films you may know:
Alien
Blade Runner
Legend
Thelma & Louise
Gladiator
Black Hawk Down

In other words he's pretty good and pretty prolific. But he does make some turds like that Robin Hood movie with Russel Crowe

This is the first you are hearing of Ridley Scott? Director of "Alien," "Blade Runner" and "Thelma & Louise," just to name a few. Producer of "Gladiator," "Black Hawk Down" and the upcoming Felt (hmmmm), just to name a few.

And Prometheus. That was right in the center of turdsville.

His first film was a short called a Boy and His Bicycle. His late brother Tony was pretty good too, he did Top Gun, Days of Thunder, True Romance, Crimson Tide amongst others

I also disagree on that one. He's working on the next movie in the Alien prequels now

This is a ridiculous question. The more important question is if he does ride a bike, is it a Ridley or a Scott?

Yes but it was very soft science fiction as opposed to The Martian which is hard science fiction. With soft science fiction you can suspend disbelief a little more. I think they posed some interesting creation questions. Of course if the viewer is extremely religious they won't be able to accept the premises at all

What I don't accept is a group of people who are supposed to be "smart" suspending any and all safety protocols. The movie was written for teenagers.

Heh.
I did not like the film at all, but I know several people who loved it. I saw it listed on CineMax or HBO recently and skipped right over it on the channel guide.

As I noted above, he has a new film coming out called Felt. Perhaps that is a clue as to what he rides.

Well, the brand Ridley was named after him, but I doubt if he rides.

Prometheus didn't make a lick of sense. But at least enough people saw it and were interested by it to have an opinion about it. Robin Hood was a boring rehash and only barely not a bomb.

(There are this many Robin Hood movies)

Sigourney Weaver ruined it for me.

She tries to overact like Al Pacino but only Al Pacino can overact like Al Pacino and get away with it.

Wow. That's a lot of Robin Hood movies. Which one is generally rated best?

The one with Errol Flynn (and Olivia de Havilland and Basil Rathbone).

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) - IMDb

The best in the last three decades is surely Men In Tights, which is a sendup of both the Costner and Flynn versions.

True. (To this day I can't figure out why Kevin Costner couldn't adopt an English accent.)
