Fuji SL 1.1

Ok fellow roadies, after much research I have decided to sell my Infinito CV frame and plop down 1800 for the Fuji SL 1.1. That is if I can get my place in line before they sell out the pre-sale. These are going fast. These are supposed to be a great race geometry frame for the money. Haven't really seen any bad reviews. Getting ready for race season.

I have very long legs, short torso, average arms. The fit was bad for me, but most stock bikes are because of my build.

If you are talking about the Fuji I don't have it yet. If you are talking about my Infinito CV I have for sale it is on pinkbike.

How about a link to the Fuji so we don't have to read your post, say "huh, not familiar with that frame," the. Have to go look for it. Just common courtesy. It's like starting a thread about a great video you saw but not providing a link to it at the very least.

The frame set is only 1800. That's why they are selling out. The frame is all I need.

Trust me, they'll make more. Fuji isn't going to invest a lot of money developing an ultralight frameset, so that they can only sell a few of them.

Yep. Contacted Fuji today. They had a few that did not carry through with the pre-sale in this first production run so it looks like I will be getting my race frame first week of March.

Yep. Fuji SL1.1 with SRAM red 22. Zipp cockpit. Reynolds Assault wheels. Prologo saddle. Speedplay Zero pedals. 14.1 lbs. SWEET!! 4 rides and hit from behind by 18 wheeler going 60mph. Bike destroyed. I walked away with cut elbow, softball size lump and knee to hip bruise on left leg. Cuts on lower left leg. Very lucky. Finally got the crash report and the trooper said it was my fault for turning left unsafe???? Used hand signals. Occupied lane. Truck driver came out around us on the left and tried to pass knowing we were making left turn. I was a cop for 11 years and I have no idea how the trooper made it my fault. Have attorney. We will see. Bright side...could have been much much worse.

Other than my custom frame, nothing fits perfect.

Some endurance frames like a Specialized Roubaix would work, but I'm not a fan of drastically sloping top tubes.

Wow, glad to hear that you survived the crash. Good luck with the attorney and get yourself another bike!

Glad your ok. With an 18 wheeler you could have easily slipped under the truck and ... But this response by the trooper seems to be the norm.

Essentially if you had been a car it would have been the truck drivers fault. But even though you did everything ok because your a bike its your fault.

Not too sound too conspiracy theory, I wonder if some of these troopers feel they are doing us al a favor by driving us off the road?

Here's my Fuji SL with SRAM Red @ 14.36 lbs:

Nice build! Did you take the stickers off the frame (leaving subtle Fuji Graphics), or did your frame happen to come in like that?

How are you liking your bike, now that you've had it a while? How does it ride? Any regrets?

Love the ride ... the Fuji ghost graphics on the frame are original and very subtle
Took a while to adapt to the SRAM Red shifting, and I now prefer it to my Shimano DA.
Purchased locally and ridden for over a year ... now looking at a Ti frame with SRAM eTap.

Well, I'm hoping you're buying a new bike because you a a bike *****(der), and not because you don't like the bike itself . I've been riding a Fuji Professional (2005- DA 10sp) for 12 years strong and have no complaints. The only thing wrong is that I know there is lighter-stiffer-updated stuff out there that I can't ignore anymore. So I just picked up a 2017 SL 1.1 with etap pretty blindly. With the triple points PB offered last weekend, I'll throw a quarq crank on it for free and have a few hundred bucks leftover. Keeping my fingers crossed for a smooth transition into a modern bike

Cheers!
Hector
